Boxwood Flex Hedge
Our Flex Hedge system provides the ultimate flexibility for curved, angled, and irregular surfaces. Unlike rigid panels, our flexible hedge technology allows continuous coverage around columns, curved walls, and unique architectural features.
- Flexible, bendable backing
- Conforms to curves and columns
- Custom sizing to your dimensions
- Dense boxwood face
- Zip-tie, staple, or adhesive mounting
- Design consultation on every run
- No trimming, watering, or fertilizing
The Flex Hedge solves the problem rigid panels can't: curves. Its foliage sits on a bendable backing that wraps a column, follows a rounded planter wall, or turns an inside corner without cracking the grid or leaving a gap. The boxwood face stays dense and even as the panel flexes, so a curved surface reads as one continuous hedge.
Because it is cut and sized to the job, the Flex Hedge suits work that standard flat mats fight against — spiral columns, barrel-vaulted entries, curved reception desks, and sculptural garden forms. The flexible backing takes zip ties, staples, or adhesive depending on what it wraps, and holds the boxwood look while it bends around the form.
This is a made-to-measure product rather than a stock case count, so dimensions and quantities come out of a design conversation. Send the radius, the height, and photographs of the surface, and the team specs the panels to fit before anything ships — so the curve is covered edge to edge with no forced seams.
Wrap the flexible panel around the form and anchor as you go so the backing keeps tension against the curve. On columns and posts, zip ties through the grid pull it snug; on curved plywood or a reception face, staples or construction adhesive hold it flat. Overlap panel edges slightly on a tight radius to keep the boxwood continuous, and trim the backing to meet openings cleanly.
In California, Califauxscapes (CSLB #955154) can measure the curve and mount the panels; elsewhere the panels arrive sized for your installer to fit on site. Because every Flex Hedge run is custom, a design consultation up front prevents short panels and visible joints, so share the surface radius, height, and photos early.

Choose the Flex Hedge over any flat boxwood mat — the medium-green, the Dragon, or the hedge sheet — the moment the surface stops being flat. Those panels excel on straight fences and square walls but fight a curve. The Flex Hedge bends where they crease. Reach for the rigid mats when the wall is flat and a stock case ships faster; reach for this when the geometry is the whole challenge.
How tight a curve can the Flex Hedge follow?
It's built to wrap columns, rounded walls, and inside corners without cracking the grid. Because it's made to measure, the panels are specified for your radius and height, so tighter curves are handled by sizing and slight edge overlap rather than forcing a rigid mat to bend.
How is it sized and ordered?
As a custom product, not a stock case. Send the radius or shape, the height, and photos of the surface, and the team specs the panels to fit before anything ships. That upfront design step is what keeps a curved run gap-free.
How does it attach to a column?
Zip ties through the flexible grid pull it snug around a post or column; on curved plywood or a reception face, staples or construction adhesive hold it flat. Overlap the edges slightly on a tight radius so the boxwood stays continuous around the bend.
What maintenance does it need?
No trimming, watering, or fertilizing. An occasional rinse keeps the boxwood looking fresh, indoors or out. The flexible backing doesn't change that — it's the same low-upkeep synthetic foliage as the flat panels, just on a backing that bends.
