SEC.00 — OVERVIEW

A new business opening in Houston needed the storefront to look cleaner and more welcoming—quickly. Geranium Street covered the existing barriers with UV-stabilized artificial boxwood hedges, using custom-mounted plates drilled into the concrete for a secure, permanent finish.

01
The Challenge

Understanding the Problem

The client was opening a new business and wanted the storefront to feel welcoming from day one. But the barriers out front were large, visually heavy, and made the entrance feel more like a work site. The barriers still had to stay and keep doing their job, so we couldn’t remove them.

02
Our Solution

The Geranium Street Approach

We recommended a permanent cladding approach using Geranium Street artificial boxwood hedges. This wasn’t about temporary décor—it was about giving the barriers a finished outer face. We drilled custom plates into the concrete, then used those plates as attachment points for the hedge panels. UV stabilization helps slow fading from sun exposure.

02.5
Implementation

Bringing It to Life

We walked the barrier layout and confirmed mounting points so the finished hedge line would read straight from the street. We drilled and installed custom mounting plates into the concrete, then mounted the artificial boxwood hedge panels with alignment checks and tightened everything for a flush finish.

03
The Results

Transformative Impact

The storefront got an immediate visual reset. Instead of the first thing customers noticing being big barriers, they now see a clean green edge that makes the entrance feel more intentional and welcoming. The hedges help define the space without forcing the client to give up the barrier system.
